It may have started prior to 1920 but I know the first radio news program was broadcast August 31, 1920. Since then we have grown with big leaps and bounds. First radio then TV, mobile phones, computers, microwaves, hybrid vehicles. The list goes on and on. I’m a geek and I’m guilty of indulging in the electronic storm of entertainment and distraction. I have taken a step back and stopped to observe people interaction. This was a little weird since everything around us is very fast paced and to jump off the marry go round and stop you get a funny feeling at first then you can focus while the rest of the world goes fast forward. Families back in the past prior to radio had music and people interaction for entertainment. Families sat down to eat dinner and talk. People took time to interact with each other. We played games. Kids played and used their imaginations. Their was no Internet and 200 channels of stuff to see on TV. No video games or Internet. Patriotism and religious focus was strong. I see that people focus on the TVs at restaurants. At the home front some families focus more on the IPODs, gaming consoles, TV, computers, Internet…etc. Their are millions of families that focus more on their electronic worlds than their family fleshly entities. Communication between people change to a more virtual world. The loss of communication skills between people changes format and sometimes decreases to a point of non-existence. Disconnection from reality on this course is the end result in some cases. Whats the solution? What do we do now? Can’t stop technology. Lets get some input.

This evening was very peaceful. I painted these with a friend. I enjoyed it. It was very soothing to the mind and soul. It is very interesting to see what comes out of a person so randomly. Back pain was present but ignored till the paintings were done. Another interesting thing is that painting also relaxed the senses. God’s creation of the mind is very interesting. The things that our mind can generate and then apply with our hands is mind boggling. I want to paint again. Interpretation of the paintings is the other cool thing especially when its not your own interpretation. Let me know what you see in these pics and leave me a comment.
Church is a restaurant…
•March 5, 2009 • 2 CommentsThink about this next time you GO to church. When we GO to a restaurant we order our food and it is served to you at the table, we eat the food pay for the services then we leave. When we go to church we don’t order our spiritual food but it is served to us. We consume the worship and the word then “pay for the services” (tything) then we go home. Now if the restaurant is not in your home how do you maintain your food intake? Yes we self feed. We cook our food we serve it up on a plate then we eat it. Then we clean up and do it all over again. This time there is an element missing. The server. We become the server and the consumer. Well how about feeding the spirit? Hmmm lets feed during the week instead of starving the inner spiritual being for one and a half meal a week. We start out our lives being fed by our parents by the bottle, then the spoon. Feeding ourselves food is a progressive action we all achieve. Now lets go back to the element mentioned earlier….”the server.” I’m speaking for myself on this part. I need to feed my spiritman before it starves to death. Self serve the word. This does not mean don’t go to church.
Perfection ??
•December 26, 2008 • 5 CommentsThe next time you hear, “I’m not perfect”, remember this. God doesn’t make imperfection. God made everything. We may think that we are not perfect and there is nothing perfect here on earth when in reality creation is perfect. The tendency to look at perfection on an “I” level shows that the focus is on self and not beyond. We can say that we are not perfect or this and that is not perfect. When its God made its perfect when its man made OOPS ! we messed up lets try again. Listen to this….I’m not saying I’m perfect because then what I’m saying is that I’m saying it or classifying self. Things we see physically or mentally not perfect would show that the scope we are looking at those things with is narrow and self centered. That smells bad, that looks ugly, that sounds terrible, that tastes nasty, etc. The pattern is centered around our senses which are physical.
